PORTLAND, Oregon — A First Student school bus with 32 children on board crashed into two parked cars in Northeast Portland Friday morning, badly damaging all three vehicles.
It happened about 8:30 a.m. near Northeast 58th Avenue and Thompson Street.
Witnesses said the driver swerved to avoid a cat in the road and hit two parked cars before crashing into a tree.
A neighbor whose car was demolished described helping students off the bus after the crash, including two with minor injuries.
