Kia, well known as the contributor to the United States of America of electric vehicles, has a lot of hype going behind the EV9 vehicle. It’s a three-row electric SUV which is steadily priced at about $54,900. Kia believes that the EV9 is going to serve as a “wake-up call” in order to encourage the rest of the marketplace to really follow suit.
The 2024 Kia EV9 Light RWD uses a beginning price of $54,900, which also excludes a destination fee, while seating can be provided for up to seven people, all while there’s been a DC fast charging capability, with the added 215 horsepower and a 258-lb-ft of torque. All with the latest and greatest of tech features. The three-row SUV EV shouldn’t have to be so expensive.
It offers a good balance of standard features, combined with fast charge abilities and the tech-savvy requirements that EV buyers have been searching for. Kia has been insistent to show off what the future looks like with bold style and advanced tech features.
The Kia EV9 is even longer than the Telluride SUV, at about 197.2 inches. Such a box-like aggressive shape uses a drag coefficient of 0.28, which barely beats the competition’s Volvo EX90.
As for the interior, carbuyers will be impressed by the next-generation Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system, all while in the center of it all there’s a dashboard shaped like an elliptical that shows off a “floating” effect.
There’s even a wider panoramic display that comes equipped with 12.3″ screens and even a 5″ HVAC screen that is integrated into one panel for a fresh, modern, minimalistic appearance.
Underneath the screen are hidden switches via key infotainment features. The EV9 is loaded with 20 standard ADAS features with a Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist which is instrumental in detecting many hazards found in oncoming vehicles that can turn left or crossing a possible intersection.
DC fast charging and stronger navigation are among a few of the features that show up in the new EV9.
