Chevy has the best pickup trucks in the form of the Silverado 2500HD and the 3500HD. These two models are being refreshed for 2024’s model year. There has been a redesign of the facial features while the trim levels have been able to benefit from flashy interior design, debuted on the half-ton on the Silverado. Looking at the Chevy Silverado HD trucks, you can see that the pickups use a facelift and brand-new cabin design. Chevy is a heavy-duty pickup creator unlike any other.
The engine is a Duramax diesel 6.6-Liter v8 with the Allison 10-speed automatic transmission unlike any other. This involves the 470-horsepower upwards from 445. Which in turn produces about 975 pound-feet of torque. This comes from an increase of updates to the combustion and turbocharger. Which in turn can provide about 25 percent more low-end torque and improved efficiency.
There’s no telling how the updates may improve fuel economy, being that trucks are exempt from EPA testing while the company isn’t sharing estimates. What is for sure is that the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 3500 HD are towing in at ratings of 22,500 and 36,000 pounds.
What’s new about the Chevy Silverado HD models?

There are better driver assists found in the HD trucks. There’s also a new alert that allows users to know when they exceeding the GCWR while also possessing a camera view using technology to allow a trailer to be transparent in order to work in conjunction with gooseneck setups and fifth-wheel setups.
The 2500HD and the 3500HD is going on sale for the first half of 2023.
Chevy wants to share pricing way closer to the on-sale date. Chevy also made the announcement that the Silverado is going to get a version of this new and improved design language. Of course, it’ll be off-road ready with the ZR2 model for the first since ever. Chevrolet is patient enough to launch it after the regular trucks.
The new interior comes with a new center console that comes with the wireless charger that you’ve always wanted, while leaving room for cupholders. Also, the newest Silverado comes with a leather-wrapped surfaces and genuine wood accents. All on the High Country, there is also a new color interior of Nightshift Blue. All with the necessary top-notch materials. There’s so many updates to these models, it’s convincing me to save up for a Silverado.
